Indian Himalayas

Indian Himalayas are two main area of the Himalaya in India. The western  Himalaya in the north of the country is characterized by small villages and a mountainous  landscape , while the eastern Himalaya, sandwiched between Bhutan and Nepal is home to tea plantations with a backdrop of the Kanchenjunga peak. 

Both regions are relatively easy to explore and there are a variety of road, rail and air options.  Most visitors  will fly from either  Delhi to Kolkata and then travel by car  once in the Himalaya. Everest by helicopter
For an exclusive Everest experience and spectacular views of the Earth’s highest peaks, a private helicopter flight from Kathmandu to Everest Base Camp is hard to beat. Although your exact route will depend on weather and wind conditions on the day, your pilot will fly over Everest Base Camp and on up the mountain possibly to the Khumbu icefall, the Cho La Pass at 5,595 metres, and over the sacred Gokyo lakes to a landing spot at Kongde, at 4,250 metres. You will breakfast here against a staggering mountain backdrop before returning to Lukla to refuel for the flight back to Kathmandu.
