Day 03 : Cochin-Backwatrers

Continue to Puthenangadi on the banks of the Lake Vembanad. Enjoy a newly culled delicate coconut prior to boarding a customary Kettuvallam.

As you skim delicately along the backwaters, two meals are set up ready only for you, freshly  got scampi barbecued in curry sauce, karimeen, backwater duck meal, custard and steamed red rice.

There’s a lot of chilled brew and wine on board as well. Make a stop for the evening.

Day 04 : House Boat-Kumarakom

Enjoy a luxurious breakfast prior to arrive at Coconut Lagoon, an exceptionally unique “Curry Lunch” has been ready for you, a blowout served on a banana leaf. In the evening, explore up-stream on kayak or just watch the sun go down from your deck. Gather together the day with an intelligent cooking demo, trailed before supper with the gourmet specialists.

Day 05 : Kumarakom-Thekkady

Day 07 : Thekkady-Chettinad

After breakfast, drive to Madurai, popular for its vivid Meenakshi Temple. After which, there’s lunch in a typical  Tamil Nadu café in Madurai before you proceed to Visalam. It’s been a taxing day, go through the night by pool before supper. An old style music show has been organized as a backup to your dinner.

Day 08 : Chettinad

After breakfast, visit the weekly market called Vaara Sabdhai with the chef where greengrocers, fisherfolk and organic product sellers show their products under beautiful overhangs.

Back at the hotel, join our kitchen staff in setting up your lunch which, according to tradition, is served in the kitchen. After lunch, a visit to the handloom weavers of Chettinad is all together.

Day 09 : Chettinad-Pondicherry

Today’s drive drive will take you toward the east coast and the Union Territory of Pondicherry.

On leaving Visalam, you visit Thanjavur, a town known for its extraordinary Chola temples, the most amazing among which is the Brihadeshwara temple situated in the focal point of the city.

After a refueling break for a commonplace South Indian vegan lunch, you go to the following high-point of your excursion: the incomparable Chidambaram temple. Supposed to be the origination of Shiva as the artist (Nataraja), this temple is situated upon Earth’s attractive equator and along these lines considered by some to be the focal point of the world.

Breakfast and drive to the Chennai airport, on your journey back home.
